O vereador Patric tem buscado insistentemente uma solução para o problema do esgoto que corre a céu aberto no cruzamento entre as ruas Prudente de Moraes e Martins Fontes, no Bairro São Luiz Gonzaga. Patric inclusive já acionou o Ministério Público, através do promotor Paulo Cirne. 
Em audiência no MP, o vereador Patric esteve acompanhado do presidente do barirro São Luiz Gonzaga, Rodolfo Boita. “Pedimos ao promotor de justiça que acione urgentemente a Prefeitura Municipal e o Governo do Estado, já que parte do esgoto tem origem no Presídio Regional de Passo Fundo.” Explicou o vereador Patric. O Presídio Regional de Passo Fundo já foi notificado pela Secretaria Municipal do Meio Ambiente, que constatou contaminação pluvial e cloacal.
“A saúde da população está em risco, é preciso agir rápido.” Afirmou Patric Cavalcanti.
Na audiência também foram denunciadas irregularidades na destinação do lixo em Passo Fundo.
